Overview
Articles are used in PancakeCMS to add new content to your website without having to make any design, navigation, or organisational choices. Articles are the best place to have multiple users add content without worrying about them modifying the navigation or flow of your website. Also in future releases the ability for guest to add comments to articles will be enabled. Depending on your sites theme you may have a few articles present, a list of articles, a list of article categories, or no articles at all on your front page and any other possible pages.
Accessing Articles
Every User Level (beyond guest) has the ability to add articles to a website. Therefore if you are given login information for your website you have the ability to write, edit, and delete articles.
Managing Articles
From the Admin Interface you can manage your website's articles by clicking on the Articles tab at the top of the page.
Options
Once you are in the Articles Management page you will be presented with a list of the articles that are already on your website. From this page you have several choices:
- By clicking on the title of the article you will be taken to the Edit Article page.
- By clicking on the Category link of the article you will be taken to Articles Category administration page.
- By clicking on the Delete link you will remove the article from the database and thus the website. You will be given an opportunity to verify that you wish to delete the article.
- By clicking on the New Article Link you will be able to Create a new Article.
